Each Lakedale Canvas Cottage comes equipped with a durable Douglas Fir frame, a breathable fabric shell made of 100% Army Duck Canvas, and a Vinyl Rain Fly. The Canvas Cottage package offers two doors and six windows per cottage, with customizations to fit your environment.
THE DOUGLAS FIR FRAME
100% ARMY DUCK CANVAS
Army Duck has the remarkable quality of being highly water-repellent and breathable. Its tightly woven, 100% cotton duck fibers make the Canvas Cottage comfortable year-round.
THE VINYL RAIN FLY
Protect your surroundings from the elements with the Vinyl Rain Fly. In extremely wet or humid conditions, the rain fly prevents any rain from contacting the roof of your Canvas Cottage.

Imagine a cozy, versatile, and spacious house or shelter. When we think of glamping in a luxurious and sustainable space, we envision the Canvas Cottage. Our cottages are a permanent version of the classic wall tent. We offer 20 cottage sizes and multiple add-ons to make your cottage customizable.
The Lakedale Cottage is known for being a sturdy, cozy home away from home. The handsome Douglas Fir wood frame accommodates up to six screen windows sewn into the translucent cotton canvas. Each window can be zipped up with a privacy flap or left open to let the natural sunlight in. The tent-style door fully opens to the ridge, which provides an open air feel and easy access.
Cabins are generally solely made out of wood, while cottages can be built from a variety of materials. We manufacture our Lakedale Cottages with a durable Douglas Fir frame, 100% Army Duck canvas, a vinyl rain fly, and up to two doors and six windows per cottage. Soft or hard windows and doors are available.
The Canvas Cottages come in twenty different sizes, in the form of rectangles and squares. We offer sizes from 10'x12' up to 16'x22'.
We do not have engineered snow loads, but our cottages can handle mild snow. If snow accumulates, we recommend brushing the snow off with a broom frequently.
Yes! Your cottage requires a raised platform to sit on, as the ratchet for the tension straps needs to be under the raised platform for your fabric to be taut.
Yes! Our Vinyl Rain Fly can extend up to 6’ out depending on the chosen length of your cottage.
No! All cottages come with rain flys. We assume your cottage will be up for a long time, and want it to stay in tip-top shape.
