    The shipping price depends on the package's weight and the distance it is traveling. We have a team of experts that work on getting you the best shipping solution, whether you're shipping to Bali or just down the road.

    HOW DO I ARRANGE FOR SHIPPING MY YURT?

    The customer arranges for a Commercial Carrier to pick up the load. All Commercial Carriers MUST have a B.O.L (Bill of Lading) either printed and with the driver or emailed to our Shipping Department before arriving. No load-out happens without it.

    Pick-up should be scheduled by the time your order is complete. You will provide your freight broker with details about this delivery and set up payment options while scheduling pick-up. From this point onward, all shipping, delivery, and payments will be between you and the freight broker. To arrange for your shipping entirely, please contact us for crate dimensions.

    Freight companies often charge more to deliver to a residence; there may also be additional costs if your local roads are inaccessible to standard tractor-trailer trucks. Charges vary depending on the delivery area. The freight broker can discuss ways to reduce your charges by helping you avoid requesting services you do not need.

    When speaking to your freight broker, be prepared to discuss any special circumstances at your site like access to the unloading area or other issues that could impact your delivery.

    Most freight carriers do not guarantee delivery dates and times. If you have specific requirements for delivery, ask the broker to give you a quote based on a “premium” or “guaranteed service.” The freight broker can help you decide the best solution for the cost and practical considerations.

In some areas, carriers only deliver once or twice a week. If your site is not accessible to standard tractor-trailer trucks, you have several choices:

    • Offer to meet the freight carrier at a different location.

    • Ask the freight broker for a quote that includes special services in non-standard equipment.

    HOW DO I UNLOAD MY YURT(S) FROM THE TRUCK?

    If you do not have a forklift, you will need help unloading your yurt. Your shipment includes a large crate that is too heavy to lift off the truck by hand, but if you have a crowbar, you can disassemble the crate and carry the contents off. If you can't gather the desired number of people to help you unload the truck, you can check with the freight broker to see if they have a truck available with a lift gate. The liftgate will help you get the product from the truck to the ground but will not help you move the product around in the truck or on the site. In this case, you may need a pallet jack, a forklift, or friends with strong arms.

  14. TEEPEE POLES SHIPPING

    WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN MY TEEPEE POLES ARRIVE?

    When your poles arrive, please be there to receive them. Drivers are not required to assist with unloading.

    You will need to make sure you have the correct quantity of poles and inspect them for any damages that may have occurred in shipping. Vertical cracks and dirt marks or scuffs are normal in shipping teepee poles and are not considered damage.

    Should you find any damages you must have the driver make a note on the freight bill before you sign and ask for an OS&D exemption number. Keep the damaged poles, do not file a freight claim, then call us at 406-544-5255. If you follow these procedures we can send replacement pole(s) free of charge. If you do not, you will have to pay to replace the broken poles.

    If you ask the driver to use the lift gate, there will be an additional charge of $75. Customers can unload the poles manually and without much difficulty.

    Damages do not occur often, but please take the time to inspect them just in case.
